Through our program, GLFS seeks to develop, support, and empower individuals and the family unit by teaching problem solving skills, assisting parents in becoming advocates for themselves, and coordination of available community resources. The program brings services into the home and develops a comprehensive treatment plan to address the family’s practical and material difficulties together with their psychological or mental health treatment needs.
Intensive-In-Home Services
The purpose of our home-based program is to provide comprehensive services to at-risk children, adolescents, and families.
We Offer:
Time limited interventions for children/adolescents from ages 4 to 21 years old who are at risk of being moved into an out-of-home placement, or who are being transitioned back home from an out-of-home placement due to documented clinical needs.

Mental Health Skill Building Serivces
Mental health skill-building services are designed to provide training and support that empowers and enables individuals with significant psychiatric and psychological deficits the necessary skills to achieve and maintain stability and independence within the community. Training comes in different forms. Training is administered in the community, in the home, as well as service coordination with other providers.
Mental health skill building is a structured approach to teaching and training individuals to adhere to medical directives, follow through with daily tasks, and build strong support systems. Skill-building is a time-limited service that provides individuals with a personalized approach towards recovery and functioning

Mentoring
The purpose of our mentoring program is to improve self-esteem, social competence, and avoidance of problem/high-risk behavior for youth ages 5 - 18 years old by providing a relationship with a caring adult mentor who works to help youth achieve their potential. The focus of outcomes for this program is targeted toward youth as the primary recipients of services.

Crisis Stabilization
The purpose of our Community-Based Crisis Stabilization program is to provide direct Mental Health care to adult and adolescent non-hospitalized individuals experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis that may jeopardize their current community living situations. The goal of GLFS Crisis Stabilization services is to prevent hospitalization and reduce the mental health crisis so that the individual does not become at risk to the safety of self or others.
We Offer:
· Stabilization of individuals in a psychiatric crisis.
· Avert hospitalization or re-hospitalization through step-down or step-up services from acute care, intermediate care and Crisis Stabilization Units.
· Mobilization of resources within the community and natural support systems for ongoing maintenance, rehabilitation, symptoms and behavior management through individual and group therapy.
· Linkage to mental health professionals for care to meet their acute needs.
· Provide a normative environment with a high assurance of safety and security.
· Coordination with other providers, and linkage with community resources to promote stability.
